The State Convention is the forum where delegates from each of the schools elect a new state board of directors.  Each school is allotted seven delegates and two alternates PLUS one delegate for each ten NSNA members at that school.  Delegates have the ability to vote for each of the candidates.  The school president will provide a list of the school delegates prior to the annual state convention.

Candidates for office can be any NSNA member in good standing within the state of Nevada, whether or not they are affiliated with a school constituent.  Candidates must commit for the entire year.  Board members that graduate during the year can continue their term until elections at the next convention.  The following positions are elected each year:

President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Northern Region Vice President
Southern Region Vice President
Communication Director
Community Health Director
Newsletter Editor
2 Members-at-Large
